About Alun
Alun is a coal miner's son who has lived in North Wales since 1992. A fomer college lecturer and Assembly Member, he is now the Chief Executive of an environmental charity. His work takes him around many parts of Gwynedd.

I would like to thank the 7,928 voters who put a cross against my name in the May 6 General Election. A "damn close run thing" but not close enough.
I have been working on elections all my adult life - mostly as a volunteer on someone else's campaign. But I can never remember one quite like this.
